Rotair Unveils the New Rampicar R70.4-T: Advanced Power and Performance for Modern Viticulture

Engineered for narrow vineyard rows, the R70.4-T combines compact design with enhanced hydraulic power, traction, and multifunctionality

Caraglio, Italy - June, 2025 : ROTAIR SPA, a leading company in the design, manufacture and distribution of high technology portable air compressors, multi-functional dumpers and hydraulic breakers for more than 60 years and a brand of ELGi Equipments Limited, announces the launch of the Rampicar R70.4-T, a new tracked mini transporter and tool carrier designed specifically for the demanding needs of the viticulture sector, particularly in vineyards with narrow inter-row spacing.

The Rampicar R70.4-T has been developed to meet the growing need for greater hydraulic power when operating mounted implements, as well as improved traction for soil management tasks. At the same time, it retains the same accessory holder frame dimensions as previous Rampicar models, ensuring full compatibility with tools already used by customers.

The Rampicar R70.4-T supports a wide range of vineyard implements, including shrubs-cutter, sprayer, trimmer, defoliator, and fertiliser spreader, thanks to its enhanced hydraulic system. This enables operators to depend on a single, robust machine for multiple tasks throughout the growing season.

“The launch of the R70.4-T reflects Rotair’s leadership in specialised agricultural equipment and our responsiveness to evolving market demands,” said Giuseppe Donadio, Managing Director of ROTAIR S.p.A. “We’ve designed this machine to support the next generation of viticulture professionals — combining power, precision, and compatibility in a compact format that meets the real challenges of today’s vineyards.”

At the heart of the new model is the Kubota V1505-CR-TE5 engine — a powerful four-cylinder diesel engine delivering 44.3 HP at 3000 rpm, fully compliant with EU Stage V emissions standards. For nearly 20 years, Kubota engines have powered the Rampicar VIGNOBLE range, and the Rampicar–Kubota combination is now widely recognised by professionals across Europe as a mark of quality and reliability. The compact engine features an advanced DOC+DPF after-treatment system, which necessitated a complete redesign of the machine’s structure. The track drive has been repositioned to the front, and all major components have been reconfigured to optimise space, improve weight distribution, and enhance both performance and ease of maintenance.

Key Features of the Rampicar R70.4-T :

  • Ultra-compact width of just 680 mm, ideal for narrow vineyard rows
  • Enhanced traction allowing speeds of up to 8 km/h
  • 600 kg load capacity on the base chassis
  • High-performance hydraulic system:
    1. 42 l/min at 180 bar for operating accessories
    2. 12 l/min at 180 bar for implement movement
  • Entire hydraulic circuit upgraded to support higher flow rates and working pressures
  • Improved access to service points for both engine and hydraulic components via easy-to-remove panels and covers
  • Front-mounted track drive for better manoeuvrability on uneven vineyard terrain

Rotair’s continued commitment to innovation, reliability, and operator comfort makes the R70.4-T a compelling choice for viticulture professionals seeking enhanced efficiency and performance in the field.
